Tuition & Fees
At Dawn Treader Academy, we want families to understand the cost of enrollment clearly from the beginning. Our tuition is structured by grade level and with Arizona's Empowerment Scholarship Account program in mind. Below you'll find our 2026-27 tuition rates, information about using ESA funds, and our current payment policies.

Tuition includes academic instruction, curriculum, and standard school activities. Some optional activities, field trips, athletic participation, or other special programs may involve additional costs.
Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA)
Arizona's Empowerment Scholarship Account program provide eligible families with state education funding that may be used for private-school tuition and other approved educational expenses. Many Dawn Treader Academy families use ESA funds towards the cost of tuition.
How ESA Works
Families apply for an ESA through the Arizona Department of Education. Once approved, ESA families manage their ESA funds through ClassWallet, the financial platform used by the state program. ESA funds may be used for private-school tuition, curriculum, tutoring, and other eligible educational expenses.
Using ESA at Dawn Treader Academy
Dawn Treader Academy is registered with ClassWallet, allowing families to use ESA funds to pay eligible school charges through the ClassWallet system. We can also help new families understand the process for making payments to DTA.
Who Qualifies?
Arizona's ESA program is available to eligible K-12 students who meet state requirements. Families apply directly through the Arizona Department of Education, which determines eligibility.
Scholarships & Financial Assistance
We understand that the cost of private Christian education can be a significant consideration for families. While many Dawn Treader Academy families use ESA funds toward tuition, we also recognize that every famiy's circumstances are different.
When Tuition Is a Concern
Families who believe Dawn Treader Academy may be a good fit but are concerned about the cost are encouraged to talk with us. When possible, DTA may work individually with families experiencing financial need. Assistance is not guaranteed and depends on each family's circumstances and the resources available to the school.
Outside Scholarships
Families who do not use ESA may also qualify for scholarships through Arizona School Tuition Organizations (STOs) or other outside programs. Acceptance of outside scholarship funds depends on the requirements of the individual scholarship organization. Please contact us if you are considering a particular program, and we can help determine whether DTA is able to accept those funds.
Payment Policies
Billing Schedule
Tuition is billed quarterly and is due at the beginning of each quarter. Families may also choose to pay tuition for the full school year in advance. Other payment arrangements may be considered when needed; please contact us to discuss your circumstances.
Payment Methods
Dawn Treader Academy accepts payment by ACH/bank transfer, ClassWallet, or check. ACH is our preferred method for payments not made through ESA.
Enrollment Fee
A non-refundable enrollment fee of $349 per student is due upon enrollment. This fee helps cover administrative, facility, and student-account costs associated with enrollment.
Late Payments
Payments received after their due date may be subject to a late fee of $75 for ESA-funded quarterly payments or $35 for other tuition payments. Families experiencing a delay or unusual circumstances are encouraged to contact us promptly.
Withdrawal & Refunds
Enrollment fees are non-refundable. Quarterly tuition is billed in advance and becomes non-refundable once the quarter begins. Because tuition supports staffing, curriculum, facilities, and other costs committed in advance, DTA does not ordinarily prorate or refund tuition when a student withdraws during a quarter.
Founding Family Tuition Guarantee
Families who enroll during Dawn Treader Academy's inaugural 2026-27 school year are recognized as Founding Families. Those who remain continuously enrolled and in good financial standing retain access to DTA's 2026-27 tuition schedule as their children progress through the school.
This guarantee is our way of honoring the families who chose to help establish Dawn Treader Academy in its founding year.
