Flexible Enrollment Options
Not every family needs a full-time seat. We welcome part-time and hybrid students — for example, a homeschool student who wants to join us for a single course, like English. Dawn Treader Academy is a fully structured school, not a parent-run co-op: we handle instruction, attendance, and grading, while giving families the flexibility to choose how much of that structure fits their needs. If your family's situation doesn't fit a traditional mold, we'd still love to talk with you.
Answering Questions
1. Can we enroll partway through the school year? Yes. Families join throughout the year, and while there may be some catching up depending on timing, much of our instruction is designed to meet students where they are.
2. Do we have to enroll full-time. No. We offer flexible and part-time options for families who need them.
3. What if we're not sure this is the right fit? That's okay. Reaching out doesn't commit you to anything. We're happy to answer questions and help you figure out if we're a good fit.
4. How is this different from homeschooling? In some ways, it isn't so different. We offer small classes and real relationships, but with the structure of a full school day, including instruction, grading, and attendance handled for you.
5. What if my child needs to catch up or is ahead in a subject? Many of our subjects, especially math, are taught using a mastery-based approach, so students can move at their own pace rather than a fixed grade-level calendar. With small class sizes, we're able to give students the individual attention they need to catch up or move ahead.
6. Do you offer accommodations for learning differences, like a 504 plan or IEP? Not at this time. That said, every student at Dawn Treader Academy benefits from small class sizes and individualized instruction attention as part of our normal instruction.
